The church is built in a mix of Gothic and classical styles and still contains the original font. In the east wall is a 17th century stained glass rose window.
Henry Purcell and George Frederick Handel both played the church's 17th century organ. There is a peal of six bells, five of which date from the 18th century and are currently being restored.
Today, St Katharine Cree is one of the City's Guild churches and the ceiling bears ornamental bosses showing the coats of arms of various livery companies.
