Situated on the south side of Camomile Street near to Bishopsgate, the Library offers a good range of fiction and non-fiction books, especially paperback fiction. It has spoken word, music, film and TV recordings as well as a good stock of large-print material, maps and travel guides, children's books and recordings, all for loan.

Free access to the internet and on-line reference materials is also provided together with scanning and printing facilities and a self-service photocopier.

Each Friday there is a Bookstart Rhymetime session for babies and toddlers and the Library also has a reading group for adults which meets once a month on Monday evenings between 6 and 7 p.m. – new members are always welcome but please contact the Library in advance to confirm the date of the next meeting.

The Library is wheelchair accessible and has an induction loop at the enquiry desk, specialist software for people with sight difficulties, and wheelchair accessible computer workstations
