This garden may be the City's newest, but it is sited on an ancient space which was first used for burials during the plague. If you're sightseeing to the west of the City (the Royal Courts of Justice, Fleet Street and Holborn) it makes a good spot for a break; it has plenty of benches to relax on. Grave stones have been carefully repositioned and spear-headed railings, some of which date from the 19th century, add to its churchyard feel.
