Visitor Information

Open: 10am-6pm daily (last admission 5.15pm)
Extended opening hours apply to the courtyard and river terrace.

Somerset House is just west of the City, standing majestically between the Strand and the Thames. However, it's the expansive courtyard that really wows – in summer there's a programme of films and concerts and in winter an ice rink fills the space. The exhibition programme changes regularly (past shows have included Martin Margiela and Frank Auerbach). There's a restaurant, cafe and deli on site, all run by chef Tom Aikens.

Accessibility
Somerset House and the Courtauld Gallery are accessible to wheelchair users. There is parking space available for Blue Badge holders and there are a limited number of wheelchairs for visitors to use. To check availability and book in advance email info@somersethouse.org.uk or call 020 7845 4600. Read the Artsline review.
