An educational and memorable journey back to Britain’s Home Front during World War II. Visitors can explore the every day hardships of people living and working in war-torn Britain, including evacuation, food and clothes rationing, bomb disposal, air-raids and a lift into an underground shelter, where many spent sleepless nights.
Visitors can enter a BBC radio studio and listen to broadcasting from the great wartime leaders, including Winston Churchill, and visit the Drury Lane dressing room to catch a glimpse of war-time stars. Refuge can be taken in the Anderson shelter from the air-raids while you wait for the all clear. The 'World War II experience' finishes with a walk through the Blitz.
A ‘hands on’ attraction, it is suitable for all ages, with dressing-up sessions available for children.
