Established in 1885 and re-opened in its current, purpose-built home in 1999, Guildhall Art Gallery has as its centrepiece one of the UK’s largest paintings, John Singleton Copley’s The Defeat of the Floating Batteries at Gibraltar, 1782. As well as its permanent collection for which it is famous – Victorian paintings and pictures of London – there is an exciting and varied programme of temporary exhibitions, mostly on London themes.

Accessibility
This tour is largely accessible for wheelchair users – a small part of it is not.
