The Cochrane Theatre and Gallery, specialising in the display of glass art, are part of The University of the Arts, London and share the university’s twin aims of inclusion and excellence. The Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Studies – Glass (Glass and Architecture and Glass and Fine Art) is taught at the adjacent Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, which is also part of the University.
The gallery is situated on the first floor of the Cochrane Theatre, and theatre goers form the greatest part of new audiences – the opportunity to see an exhibition enhances the overall experience of visiting the Cochrane. The unique space with a curved glass front also houses a café/bar.
