Visitor Information

The Adult & Community Learning Service runs a number of part-time courses and learning opportunities for adults at various locations in the City of London and its fringes. Many of these take place at the main venue, the City of London Community Education Centre, is located in the north of the City on Golden Lane, EC1.

The City of London also runs courses in several other locations – from family learning and parent education classes at Sir John Cass’s Foundation Primary School, to English for Speakers of Other Languages at Shoe Lane Library. Classes range from non-accredited courses in subjects that include modern foreign languages, painting and drawing, and salsa, to skills and career development courses, such as GCSE Mathematics and work-based NVQs.

While many of the courses last for a number of weeks, there are also one-off workshops, activities and taster sessions for adults and families, several of which are free and are suitable even if you are only visiting the City of London for a short time. For more information on courses or to request a free prospectus contact the Adult & Community Learning Service.
