Purdy Hicks Gallery opened in 1992. Since then it has established a strong reputation for showing contemporary British and Irish painting, sculpture and photography alongside international artists. Eight to ten individual exhibitions are held annually in the main gallery and a changing display of work by Gallery artists is always on view in the lower space. A separate department – Purdy Hicks Editions – publishes prints by Gallery artists.
