It is hard to imagine what stood here at the junction of London Wall and Moorgate before this enormous glass-clad structure was erected. The ground and first floor levels of the building are occupied by shops, restaurants and bars. At this level the façade is stepped back creating a covered walkway. Services are housed in a central core. The upper 16 storeys are offices used by companies including Citadel, Macquarie Bank and HVB. Looking up from Moorgate, a huge curve rises into the sky before dropping into a flat plane on the west of the building.
Moor House is the first building to be designed for the forthcoming Crossrail and has a shaft to the station below. Its foundations are the deepest in London at 57 metres and have been designed to withstand further tunneling below.
