The RKB Gallery was created in November 1999 from an unused 'shop-front' in the Grade II listed Union Street site. It offers degree level art students nearly 1,000 sq-ft of exhibition space in Southwark, a fast changing area of London which is also home to the Globe Theatre, the Jerwood Space gallery and the Tate Modern.

The Gallery offers a unique opportunity for students to learn the sometimes painful process of marrying their creative skills to the demands of the commercial world. Dedicated to promoting 'works on paper', the gallery provides a space for the student to gain an insight into how an exhibition is created including responsibility for advertising, curating, hanging and staffing.
