Visitor Information

Tours take place every day at times including 11am, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm and 7pm
Suitable for children age 12+

The Barbican complex has long been a source of amazement and inspiration as well as controversy. Visitors either swoon or balk at the uncompromising concrete monolith. This walking tour of the external high walks and the Barbican Centre itself reveals the history of the site and the plans behind the original design. The blurb promises that participants will "Discover the ideas, values and agendas that shaped the vision of this unique architectural endeavour."

Tours last 1.5hrs and leave from the advance ticket sales desk inside the Silk Street entrance and end at the Lakeside where you can enjoy a discount with your ticket from the Waterside Café, Art Gallery Shop and Barbican.

Tickets: £8 (£6 concs)

Accessibility
The whole tour is wheelchair accessible and hearing loops are available.
