As you enter the Barbican Centre from the Silk Street entrance, to your right you'll see a doorway into a rather unusual gallery space. A long, curved room (as the name suggests) it is dedicated to showing specially commissioned work by exciting contemporary artists. Previous artists who have created work for The Curve include Celeste Boursier-Mougenot, Robert Kusmirowski, Clemens von Wedemeyer, Peter Coffin, Huang Yong Ping and Rafael Lozano Hemmer.

It complements the Barbican's main Art Gallery which holds larger, paying exhibitions.
