UNION was established June 2003 and is run under the directorship and owner Jari Lager. The gallery is conveniently located near Tate Modern which makes it accessible to a wide audience. Housed in the unique venue of converted railway arches the gallery offers roughly four thousand square feet of exhibition space. The size and nature of the space has allowed for the development of an ambitious programme of exhibitions, effectively allowing museum shows previously only seen overseas to be brought to a London audience in the context of a commercial space.
