This classic musical comes to the Barbican leaving a trail of awards in its wake. The Lincoln Center Theater production which reinvented it won seven Tony Awards, sold out on Broadway for two years and is currently selling out across America – this is its UK premiere.

Set during World War II, South Pacific tells the story of two couples threatened by the realities of war. Considered one of the finest musicals ever written, this production has a cast of 40 and a live orchestra of 25, playing much-loved songs including Some Enchanted Evening, I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair and There is Nothin’ Like a Dame. Bartlett Sher directs.
