This year Dance Umbrella has a host of events taking place across the capital, with three exciting performances at the Barbican.

Nearly Ninety, 26-30 October
New dance created by legendary artist and founder of the company, Merce Cunningham, before his death
at the age of ninety. Described as a "richly textured and vigorous ensemble".

I Drink the Air Before Me, 5 & 6 October
Making its Barbican Theatre debut is Stephen Petronio's Company with a UK premiere of I Drink... Celebrating the company’s 25th anniversary, the dance references the "awesome and unpredictable forces of nature" in a visual spectacle that brings together fashion, music and dance.

Monger, 8 & 9 October
US choreographer and musician Barak Marshall makes his first appearance in the UK at these two performances.
