A traditional City ceremony which harks back to the 17th century when all licensed ‘carrs’ and carts had to be marked with the City’s arms. These days it sees a succession of beautiful vintage vehicles head through Guildhall Yard to be symbolically marked by the Master Carmen and Lord Mayor – quite a site.
