A "visceral, taut, mud-soaked adaptation" which promises to breathe new life into a Shakespeare classic, drawing on six actors to enact the multiple characters of the Danish Royal Court. In this turbulent world of political intrigue, murder and corruption, Hamlet stands on the brink of a psychological abyss as he attempts to overcome paranoia, indecision and complex thought to preserve his grip on power. Digitally manipulated imagery and a driving soundtrack enhance the sense of disorientation in a modernday reading bursting with "irony, immediacy and physicality."
