Celebrated Chinese artist Song Dong installs this monumental work comprising over 10,000 items collected by the artist’s mother over five decades. These range from a section of the house to metal pots and plastic bowls to blankets, bottle caps, toothpaste tubes and toys – it is both a tribute to her and a meditation on family life during the Cultural Revolution.
