A rare chance to catch a performance of this collaboration between choreographer Lucinda Childs, composer Philip Glass and visual artist Sol LeWitt, which emerged from New York during the 1970s.

Three dances are performed live, set to a projection of LeWitt’s black-and-white film showing selected passages of the abstract choreography. Through shifts in camera angle and changes of scale the point of view is manipulated as the live and filmed dancers interact. Remounted by a new company of dancers under Child’s direction, this 1979 classic now features a complete restoration of LeWitt’s film and Glass’ original, minimalist score.
