Slosh some Pinot Noir round your glass and inhale deeply at this wine-tasting evening in the City. Pinot Noir, the "noble grape of Burgundy" comes in many guises; light silky and red fruited in youth through to savoury gamey edges later in life. Whilst the variety is one of the most challenging to grow and make into wine due to its thin skinned tight knit bunches, when it’s done well it is "truly sublime." However it is not only France who can produce outstanding examples a number of New World countries such as New Zealand, Chile and South Africa are vying for the wines world attention. This tasting will look at some classic Old and New World examples of Pinot Noir.
