Celebrate the City: four days in the Square Mile
21-24 June

Be sure to mark the dates in your summer diary for this one-off celebration - a vibrant cultural showcase ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Over four days in June (Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 June), the City of London Corporation and the Diocese of London invite the public to enjoy all the Square Mile has to offer: its magnificent architecture, its rich history and heritage, its must-see exhibitions - and plenty of special events and entertainment to boot.

A little taster of what's on is below (all are FREE unless stated), but keep checking back here for updates and further details of events and activities:

  • Musical extravaganza in Guildhall Yard, including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (Thursday 21 June)
  • Cheapside Street Fayre (Saturday 23 June)
  • Entry to City buildings including Mansion House, Guildhall and Livery Halls
  • Walks and Tours led by expert guides - themes are: Literary London; Livery Halls; Dickens; Art; Architecture; Gardens; Churches
