The Mad Hatter is close to one of the oldest parts of London, the 'Borough', well known to Shakespeare and Dickens. It is well placed if you have business in the City of London (around a half mile away) and for the leisure traveller Tate Modern is just a few minutes away.
Beyond the hotel is Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the National Theatre, the Royal Festival Hall, the Hayward Gallery and, of course, the London Eye. Covent Garden and the Strand are around a mile away and Oxford Street, Regent Street and Soho half a mile or so further on.
